Vessel Walkthrough & Accomodations
This 44' DeFever has been owned and maintained by the same owners for the past 18 years. In keeping with their high level of care a complete Awlgrip paint job was done in March 2002. Other recent upgrades to systems include a new 12kw Generator in addition to the 12.5 Kohler, upgrades to electronics, new galley appliances, and previous upgrades include the installation of Naiad Stabilizers, inverter, watermaker, new galley appliances, 11' Novurania with 25hp four stroke, washer/dryer and other custom features to make this vessel the best choice for a new purchaser. Canvas, brightwork, interior woodwork, and the teak aft deck are in exceptional condition and engine room systems have been upgraded.
A very large Flybridge area offers great forward visibility, center helm chair, and seats port and starboard. Behind these seats a custom large freezer is to port and there is additional seating to starboard with a stainless barbecues aft of that seat.
The upper deck of the aft deck has an upgraded davit to lift the 11' Novurania with 25hp and has been additionally supported to handle this larger tender, and a Follow Me satellite TV tracking antenna, is mounted in this area as well.
Coming down the steps from the flybridge is a large aft deck with teak deck, high low table with four chairs, built in cabinet for storage and sink, transom gate to the ladder to the swim platform. A custom remodeled full height door entrance into the vessel is much improved over similar models delivered in the mid 1980's. Side decks are non-skid and lead forward to dual anchors and custom anchor rollers with large oversized stainless custom chocks/bits.
Coming into the main salon galley area through the full height aft deck door there are two newer under counter refrigerators and icemaker to starboard with additional drawer storage forward, and teak cabinet top above with Liquor Storage. To port is the galley with recent new counter installation, opening window for pass through to the aft deck, newer oven, and cook top, under counter storage, other storage cabinets, upper bookshelf, toaster oven and Air conditioning controls. The galley is open to the salon, for ease of pass thru and dining on the teak table with additional inserts. At the forward end of the salon are two "Stressless" leather swivel armchairs with Stools. The lower helm is to starboard with helm seat, and electronics are overhead. To port and forward is a flat screen color TV, DVD, and the yacht is wired for satellite reception, and there are controls here for the flybridge and main salon speakers from the stereo system. Curtains and blinds have provided protection from heat and the sun's rays leaving the interior woodwork in excellent condition and a built in swing out light and lamp add to the standard lighting above. Teak strapping above is an additional feature. Side pocket doors, port and Starboard, at the forward end of the salon are great for access and for airflow. Also the Air Conditioning unit was recently replaced in the main salon.
